After a year of advanced development and testing, SURU launches sales at the 2018 Toronto Motorcycle Show this week, February 16-18.
The last twelve months since the Interior Design Show debut of the SURU brand and One Fifty concept have been filled with design refinements, testing and advanced planning needed to get SURU into the hands of customers. We learned a lot, and it was worth the effort.
The production 2018 SURU One Fifty and One Fifty X are significantly superior to the machines presented a year ago. Together they represent the best of what is possible in state-of-the-art e-bike design and manufacturing.
Together with our Canadian partners and suppliers, we were able to add strength, range and quality to the already formidable SURU package without compromising on our mission of maximizing local production and content.
The 2018 production model SURU One Fifty and One Fifty X have enhanced capability, with a more powerful 48 volt battery system, lighter suspension, and more deeply padded seating. The frame was almost completely redesigned to increase lateral stiffness and maximum load strength. Despite this, the asking price of the One Fifty stayed where it was at $3499 CAD, a remarkable value.
SURU will be touring the country, as well as travelling to key US e-bike markets like California and Florida this spring to spread the word and present the benefits of the One Fifty to a new generation of electric bike consumers.
SURU will be hosting visitors to the Toronto Motorcycle Show at booth 1034, inside the Enercare Centre, at Exhibition Place all weekend. Come by and meet the SURU team, and see for yourself how made-in-Canada electric bikes can challenge the status quo.
